LOVE Magazine previews new GTA VI screenshots and quotes from Rockstar's writers on Jason and Lucia
Issue 27 is out on October 5 with Jason and Lucia on the cover. The preview brings new screenshots and comments on how the protagonists complement each other.
LOVE magazine has published a preview of its issue 27, out October 5, 2026, with GTA VI’s Jason and Lucia on one of its covers. According to Vice and RockstarINTEL, the preview includes new screenshots and excerpts from the interview with Rockstar’s team.
What the preview shows
RockstarINTEL reports two new screenshots of the pair and mentions an image of Vice City. Indy100 places them in a diner and in new outfits. The issue will include interviews with several writers and with Rob Nelson, Co-Studio Head and Head of Development at Rockstar North.
What the writers say
According to Vice, LOVE presents Lucia as determined to improve her situation and not let obstacles stop her, while Jason often reacts to circumstances outside his control. Writer Elizabeth Gauvey-Kern says they wanted protagonists who are vulnerable, tough and flawed, able to learn from each other. Alexa D’Agostino adds that they start by giving each character their own wants, without removing familiar traits.
Rupert Humphries, Senior Vice President of Narrative, calls the setting “a pressure cooker for all kinds of insanity” and says recreating today’s world means exaggerating it, so it is wilder than stepping outside. On Lucia, he suggests the American dream may now be more modest: a house for your family and your loans paid off.
What is missing
We do not have the full interview text, which comes out on October 5. The quotes come from excerpts shared by RockstarINTEL, and the screenshots could not be checked at the source, so the level is medio-verificado. For the romance angle, see the optional Jason and Lucia relationship.
