Zelnick hints GTA VI could reach PC sooner than expected
Take-Two's CEO tells shareholders that PC is "becoming more and more important" to the company. GTA 5 took 18 months to make the jump; Red Dead Redemption 2 took 13.
GTA VI launches on November 19 only on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, but the PC version may not take as long as usual. At Take-Two’s annual shareholder meeting, Strauss Zelnick answered a question about the cadence of PC launches with a clear hint: “the PC platform is becoming more and more important to our company over time.”
The CEO restated the group’s general strategy: launching, over time, on “any platforms for which there’s a meaningful audience.” It is not a confirmed date, but it is the clearest signal yet that PC will not be an endless wait.
For context: GTA 5 took 18 months to reach PC and Red Dead Redemption 2 took 13 months. If Rockstar shortens that gap, 2027 is the window analysts point to. Meanwhile, console pre-orders remain open with the $79.99 and $99.99 editions.
