GTA VI is set in the social media era and the first trailer makes it obvious: many of its scenes are framed as clips posted by fictional social media accounts inside the game itself. They are a satirical portrait of Florida - sorry, of Leonida - and a sample of the humour Rockstar uses to depict its world.

OfficialPOACH: the account of POACH, short for Protection of Animals and Controlled Huntings. Its star clip shows an alligator being wrangled out of someone’s pool, one of the most talked-about trailer moments.

Beyond the accounts, the trailer shows media in video-channel or TV format: Weazel News (the series’ classic news channel, back again), Mega Mundo News, High Rollerz Lifestyle and the Thrillbilly Mud Club, a mud and off-road club that fits the mud-party events.
Snapmatic, the playable network
Gameplay-wise, the game’s integrated social network is Snapmatic, one of the apps on Jason and Lucia’s phone: it lets you follow accounts, scroll and discover NPC events to travel to in real time. It is the natural home for all these accounts when the game ships.
